We are so excited to share that we are expecting another baby GIRL! Sweet baby sister is due December 20. If she takes her time like her big sister, then we might have a veritable Christmas baby! Personally, I’m hoping she makes her debut on time or a few days early.
Madeleine was incredibly compliant as I took some cute pictures to share our news. She loves being outside and thinks her little chair is the coolest thing. Even though she was wearing a sweet “Big Sister” shirt, she has no idea what that means or how much her life is going to change in December! The girls will be about 18 months apart. I’m sure it will be pretty crazy in the first few months, but I cannot wait for Madeleine and her little sister to become playmates and friends.
Jeff and I are both very excited to grow our family and to have two beautiful daughters. Practically, it will be nice to reuse all of our “girl stuff”. I’m sure we’ll have to buy some new things for Baby Girl #2 since she will born at a different time of year–and I love a good reason to shop! We have been blessed with some wonderful hand-me-downs from my sister and another good friend, so the girls already have a nice stash of clothes for a few years.
I feel pretty ready to welcome another little one into our family, but I am thankful that we get 40-ish weeks to prepare and I have less than 20 to go. We might even have a name picked out for BG2, thought we’re keeping it a secret for now. We didn’t decide on Madeleine’s name until the day after she was born, so we’re ahead of the game this time!
